Juna Misiri, MD, is board-certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular diseases. She sees patients at Bay Area Cardiology Associates PA in Brandon, Sun City Center, Riverview, and Tampa, Florida.Dr. Misiri completed her residency at Yale-New Haven System in Connecticut, followed by cardiovascular and electrophysiology fellowship training at Mayo Clinic. She spent a year at the translational electrophysiology laboratory at the Mayo Clinic, with her research focused on the new modalities for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Dr. Misiri has published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at numerous national and international meetings. Her special interests are management of cardiac arrhythmias, radiofrequency ablation for atrial fibrillation, atrial flutters, and complex endocardial and epicardial ablation for ventricular arrhythmias.She is currently accepting new patients and warmly welcomes them to Bay Area Cardiology Associates PA. I moved to Florida from Illinois. I have had Afib for several years and no one suggested an ablation to help either it. Dr. Misiri explained everything until both me and my husband understood what was going to happen. It was supposed to be an outpatient procedure but I ended up staying overnight because of a nicked artery in my groin. She was in and out of my room all day then had an associate checking on me all night. My follow up appointments have been nothing but cordial and friendly and very concerned for my well being. Dr Misiri is the best electrophysiologist cardiologist that my husband and I met. Being from up north, we went to Beth Israel for his cardioversions.
