Hoshedar Tamboli, MD, FACF, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI
Dr. Tamboli is Board Certiﬁed in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in both Cardiology and lnterventional Cardiology. Dr. Tamholl graduated at the very top of his medical school class at the University of Pune in India in 1982. His Internal Medicine residency training was at the University of Illinois and his Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship training was at the University of Wisconsin’s, Milwaukee Campus. During his year of Interventional Cardiology training he was involved in basic clinical research.
Prior to arriving in Tampa in 1992, he was Director of lnterventional Cardiology at Marshall University in West Virginia. At present, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in Cardiology at the University of South Florida. He has been Chairman of the Cardiology Departments at University Community Hospital (Florida Hospital Tampa) and at Brandon Regional Hospital.
Dr. Tamboli placed the first coronary stents in Tampa and also pioneered peripheral vascular interventions in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories in Tampa. He was also the first to be elected as a Fellow to the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and interventions from Tampa. He continues to have interest in cutting edge complex coronary, peripheral and carotid interventions, and has been involved in many national research protocols with numerous publications to his credit. Additionally he plans to grow the Vein Clinic at Bay Area Cardiology and Vascular Associates for complete outpatient care of vein disease. He is also a participant in the Structural Heart Disease Clinic of the practice.
He is also a certiﬁcant of the comprehensive test of the Board of Certified Financial Planners. loves technical stock analysis and is an angel investor. His other varied interests include worldwide adventure travel, visiting different countries, learning about different cultures and the comparative study of religions. Most of all though he is very proud of the exemplary care given to all patients at his practice.
